How to Write the Wellesley Supplement 2018-2019 Wellesley College is a private women’s liberal arts college located outside of Boston in Wellesley, Massachusetts where students can cross-register at MIT, Brandeis, Babson, and Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Wellesley’s notable alumni include the likes Hillary Clinton.  In 2018, the acceptance rate was 19 percent.When choosing a college community, you are choosing a place where you believe that you can live, learn, and flourish. Generations of inspiring women have thrived in the Wellesley community, and we want to know what aspects of this community inspire you to consider Wellesley. We know that there are more than 100 reasons to choose Wellesley, but the ''Wellesley 100'' is a good place to start.  Visit http://www.wellesley.edu/admission/100  and let us know, in two well developed paragraphs, which two items most attract, inspire, or energize you and why. (p.s. ''Why'' matters to us.)To us, this wording seems a bit flowery, but ok.First of all, refrain from looking at the list. Instead, start off by listing out the reasons why you want to go to Wellesley. If you’re applying, you should already have a very good idea. If you do it the other way around and look at the list first, you’re going to end up writing something dumb. We promise. For example, the list identifies things like DJs and the swimming pool. Do not choose DJs or the swimming pool.  So, identify your reasons and then cross-reference them with the list.
